Canary Wharf launches the first UK on-site Deposit Return Scheme as part of its “Breaking the Plastic Habit” Campaign
Visitors to Canary Wharf can now recycle their single-use plastic bottles and cans using an innovative Deposit Return Scheme. This is the first publicly accessible recycling machine in the UK and coincides with the Government’s announcement to crack down on plastic pollution.
Positioned in Canada Place, thousands of people who come to Canary Wharf will be able to recycle their single-use plastic bottles and cans in a simple, easy and efficient way.

RVM Systems installed the first instore RVM Systems Reverse Vending Machine in the Musselburgh Iceland store on the 6th June 2018.
This was an industry first , as it was the first deposit return installation in a Supermarket in Scotland.
The retailer’s own research indicates over 95% of customers think a DRS should be extended to all retailers, while two-thirds of customers said they used the Reverse Vending Machines because of environmental concerns.

RVM Systems installed the first in-store RVM Systems Reverse Vending Machine with Morrisons.
This was an industry first , as it was the first Reverse Vending installation in a Morrisons Supermarket. Two RVM Systems machines were installed at the Skipton store in Yorkshire and the Lindsayfield store in East Kilbride Scotland. The RVM Systems Reverse Vending Machines rewarded the recycler with Morrisons More Points .
